# Terms of service

These terms apply when you use **vlta.co.uk** (the shop) and **play.vlta.co.uk** (VLTA Panic Buy, "the game"). They are a contract between you and **VLTA LTD** (company no. 16561041), 19 Wildern Court, Hedge End, Southampton, SO30 4DT, United Kingdom (info@vlta.co.uk). By using the shop or the game, you agree to them.

## 1. The game

- VLTA Panic Buy is a free football auction party game played in a web browser.
- It is an **unofficial fan game**. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Premier League, UEFA, any football club, any player or any league. Player names are used for identification only, and player ratings are our opinion.
- We may change, add or remove features, players and packs, or pause the game for maintenance. We'll try to give notice of big changes.

## 2. Guest play and ranked accounts

- You can play games with friends as a guest, with no account.
- Ranked mode needs a free account (a username and password). You must be 13 or over to create one.
- You're responsible for keeping your password safe. We can't recover a forgotten password, because we don't collect email addresses for ranked accounts.
- Usernames must not be offensive, hateful or impersonate someone else. We may rename or remove accounts that break this rule.
- **Fair play:** don't cheat, exploit bugs, use bots or scripts, run multiple accounts to boost your rank, or deliberately disrupt other people's games. Leaving a ranked game early counts as a loss.
- We may reset ratings at the start of each season, adjust ratings affected by cheating, and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

## 3. Purchases

- **What you buy:** prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where it applies. What you're buying is:
  - Host Pass
  - Gaffer Rules
  - player packs
  - Kev's Wardrobe
  - Celebrations
  - tips ("Buy the Round")
- **Licence, not ownership:** everything you buy (except tips) is a **personal, non-transferable licence** to use that digital content in VLTA Panic Buy. You don't own the content, and you can't resell or share codes publicly.
- **Delivery:** your unlock code arrives in your order confirmation email. Each code can be redeemed a limited number of times, normally on one device. After that, the item stays unlocked on that device.
- **Who benefits:**
  - Host items (Host Pass, Gaffer Rules, packs) apply to games that the buyer hosts, for everyone in those games.
  - Player items (Kev's Wardrobe, Celebrations) apply to the buyer only.
- **No pay-to-win:** purchases never affect ranked results. Ranked games always use the same free settings for everyone.
- **If we close the game:** if we ever shut the game down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice.
- **Refunds:** cancellations and refunds are covered by our Refund policy.

## 4. Ads

Free games may show ads on players' phones. A Host Pass removes ads from games you host.

## 5. Our content

The game, its design, code, the Kev the Bev character and artwork, and the VLTA name belong to VLTA LTD or our licensors. Don't copy, scrape or reuse them without our permission. You're welcome to share screenshots and clips of your games.

## 6. Liability

- We provide the game "as is" and can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law doesn't allow it. That includes death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, and your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Otherwise, we aren't liable for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable.
- For paid items, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the item in question.

## 7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the shop or the game after a change, you accept the new terms.

## 8. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
