Terms of service.
These terms are the agreement between you and VLTA LTD (VLTA Motorsport, “we”) for using vlta.co.uk.
1. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over to create an account. A parent or guardian can add and manage a driver under 18, and accepts these terms for that profile. Drivers under 18 never get their own login.
2. Your account
Keep your password private and tell us at info@vlta.co.uk if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. What you put on VLTA
- You keep ownership of everything you upload or write. You give us permission to store it, display it where you choose and turn it into the graphics, reports and pages you ask for.
- Only upload images you own or have permission to use. For any image showing someone else's child, you must have their parent's permission.
- Results you type in are shown as Driver reported. Do not enter results you know are false.
- Do not use VLTA to harass, impersonate, mislead sponsors, or post anything illegal, sexual, violent or hateful.
4. Autopilot and the Builder
Autopilot drafts posts only from official classifications and holds anything provisional. You review and approve every post before you use it, and you are responsible for what you publish on your own social accounts. VLTA does not post to social networks for you.
5. Sponsor reports and proposals
Reports label every figure by source: measured by VLTA, official timing, or reported by you. Figures you report must be copied honestly from the platforms' own insights. We do not guarantee any level of sponsorship, audience or income.
5A. Sponsor directory and sponsor payments
- The directory. A driver, or the parent or guardian of a driver under 18, can choose to list a published page in the sponsor directory. Listing is optional, can be turned off at any time, and the directory is not offered to search engines. Businesses can only contact the driver, or for a driver under 18 their parent or guardian, and never a child.
- Who the agreement is with. A sponsorship is an agreement between the sponsor and the driver, or for a driver under 18 their parent or guardian. VLTA is not a party to it and does not guarantee what either side delivers. Agree what the sponsor receives before or when they pay.
- How payment works. Where a package can be paid for on the site, the sponsor pays by card through Stripe. The payment goes to the driver's (or the guardian's) Stripe account, set up with Stripe's own onboarding, and VLTA keeps a fee of 5% of each payment, which is taken from the amount paid out, not added to the sponsor's price. Monthly packages renew automatically until the sponsor cancels; other packages can be renewed from the sponsor's own link.
- Tax and your responsibilities. Money from sponsors may be taxable income and, over some thresholds, subject to VAT. That is for you to deal with. VLTA's fee is part of our charges. Refunds and disputes are between the sponsor and the driver or guardian; if a payment is reversed, the amount and our fee on it can be taken back.
- Under 18. A driver under 18 never holds an account, a payout account or a contract. All of it is held by the parent or guardian, who is responsible for advertising rules, including no betting, alcohol or vaping sponsors for a driver under 18.
6. Subscriptions and payment
- Trial weekend. The plan starts with a paid trial weekend (£10.99 including VAT where it applies). It gives you every feature until 23:59 UK time on the Monday after your first whole race weekend; the exact date is shown before you pay. You ask for the trial to start straight away, so the trial fee is not refunded once the trial has started.
- Then monthly. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the plan continues at £99.99 a month including VAT where it applies, taken when the trial ends and on the same date each month, in advance, until you cancel. We email you the day before the trial ends, and every six months while the plan runs.
- Before you pay, we show the price, when you will be charged, how often, and how to cancel, and you confirm that you understand it is a recurring payment.
- Cancel at any time from Billing, in one step. During the trial you will not be charged the monthly price. After that, your plan stays active until the end of the month you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- You have 14 days from your first monthly payment to cancel and get that payment refunded in full.
- Places. We take on a limited number of accounts at a time. When we are full you can join a waiting list; places are offered in the order people joined and held for 48 hours.
- If we change a price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then.
7. Your graphics and styles you buy
- Graphics you make are yours. Once you download or share a graphic, you can keep using it, on any platform and in print, for as long as you like. That does not change if you cancel your plan, move to a free account or close your account. Photos and logos in it still belong to whoever owns them, as in section 3.
- Styles. Paddock is free on every account. Every other Builder style comes with the plan while it is active, the trial weekend included. If you bought a style on its own before the plan existed, it stays unlocked on your account for as long as the account is open. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
- Your right to cancel. A style is digital content that is unlocked straight away. Before you pay, you ask us to unlock it immediately and confirm you understand that you then lose the usual 14-day right to cancel. If a style does not work as described, tell us and we will fix it or refund you; a full refund removes the style from your account.
- Licence. Buying a style gives you a licence to make graphics with it in VLTA for your own drivers and their partners. It does not let you copy, resell or rebuild the style itself, or its typefaces, outside VLTA.
- If we change or retire a style. We may improve a style. If we ever withdraw one you have bought, or stop offering the Builder, we will give you at least 90 days' notice so you can make the graphics you need first.
8. Safety, reports and removal
Anyone can report a profile. We may hide or remove a profile or content that breaks these terms or puts a child at risk, and we may close accounts that do so repeatedly. See our safeguarding policy.
9. Our responsibility to you
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. We are not responsible for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for business losses where you use VLTA for a business.
10. Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard. Deleting it removes styles you bought along with everything else, but not graphics you have already downloaded. We may end an account with notice, or immediately for serious breaches of these terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
