Work Kev the Bev

Case study · In-house brand

We turned a lager can into a clothing brand.

Kev the Bev is our loud brand: novelty tees for UK lads, fronted by a gold lager can with a foam quiff. We built all of it, from the mascot brief to the store, the emails and the content, then used it to test everything we sell.

The brief

Make a banter brand that doesn't feel like a cash grab. The audience hates being sold to, so the brand had to be in on the joke, and the shop had to be easy enough to buy from on a phone at the pub.

What we did

  • Brand and mascot direction: Kev, his look, and voice rules: fun or deadpan, never cringe.
  • Shopify store: two fits on every design, linked product to product, with the right size guide for each fit, delivery estimates and a free-delivery progress bar.
  • "Which Kev are you?" quiz with shareable results.
  • Print on demand through Printful, UK only, so there's no stock sitting in a garage.
  • Five Klaviyo flows: welcome, browse abandonment, abandoned basket, abandoned checkout and first-order thank you.
  • Content system: a Sunday pub quiz, a group-chat series and a weekly posting plan.
  • Meta creative tests on a £50 a month budget: a fun hook against a deadpan one.

What happened

Kev is live with 11 tees across two fits, five email flows running and the first paid creative test underway. We'll put real numbers here when they're in, not before.
