The last round finishes and most driver pages go quiet until spring. That is exactly when sponsors set next year's budgets and look at who is still showing up. Here is what to post when there is no racing.
Straight after the last round: the season in numbers
Rounds, podiums, best finish, and the round you are proudest of. Use your real results, including the weekends that went wrong. Follow it the same week with a thank-you that names every partner who helped. Both are posts your partners can share.
Once a week is enough
You do not need to post every day. One good post a week keeps the page alive and keeps you in front of sponsors. Pick a day and stick to it, so it does not become another job you put off.
Things that are true all winter
- Throwbacks. Your best photo from the season, with what was happening at that moment.
- Testing and training. A test day, the gym, a sim session, a coaching day. Say what you were working on.
- The kit. A new helmet design, a new seat fitting, the car being stripped and rebuilt.
- Track guides. Your notes on a circuit you race at: the corner that matters and where you lose time. Other drivers save these.
- Next season. Which championship, which class, which team, as soon as it is confirmed. Not before.
Ask about next season before Christmas
Many local businesses decide what they will spend over the winter. Send each partner a short season summary and ask if they would like to talk about next year. For new businesses, an off-season ask with a clear package and price is easier to say yes to than one sent the week before round one.
Keep your sponsor page up to date
A business that looks you up in January should find this season's results and next season's plans, not last spring's. Update the packages and prices for next year as soon as you know them.
Do it in VLTA
- Open Driver kit and save the Season review: four slides made from the results you already posted, ending with a thank-you to your partners.
- In the Builder, Throwback, Track guide, Testing and News posts all work with no race on.
- If the money is tight over winter, Billing has Pause beside Cancel: nothing is charged until the date you pick.
